Here is another video & pics, this time of Table Mountain. Table Mountain is the large flat mesa seen in the pics from the V&A waterfront video. In this video, you can see Capetown, the V&A Waterfront area and the island in the middle of the bay outside the harbor. That island is Robbins Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for so many years. Table Mountain is like some strange foreign landscape; powerful, haunting and a reminder of the power of nature. Despite the crowds, it is a strangely personal space….

Gosh Doc, it might not be quite the same, but you brought back memories of when Robert and I first went up on one of those in Albuquerque NM, my first time up to the top of a ski resort and riding the lift like in your video, and looking down on a four diamond ski slope in the off season, and in awe thinking “No way in hades, are people nuts”! Your scenary is far more breathtaking! Like the cliffs of Moher when I went to Ireland, ahhhhh behold beauty beyond belief… Food though, still sends me soaring
Thanks Chef!
Anytime anything I do can inspire or elicit fond recall, we’ve done our job!
I knew it, Doc! I just knew you’d bring back some newly acquired culinary skills from SA!! This looks incredible … even if you can’t find any Impala at the local market.
