Simple is as Simple does

Sometimes simple is good. In fact, most times simple is good; which is why I take no offense at constantly being labled a rather simple guy. Here is an appetizer/dessert that is simple but delicious. Some fresh kiwi, pureed and strained and ladled over some camebert cheese with honey. All baked in some puff pastry goodness until golden brown. A perfect (and easy) holiday treat.

I equate simplicity with elegance and complication with pedantry. So there, I like your simple treat very much!

  2. Agreed. Simplicity is elegance. That is not to say, however, that the flavor profile is simple. This dish suggests a complexity in flavors. I must try it.

Doc! You’ve outdone yourself with this one. I have some Alaskan honey that a friend gave me this year. He raises his bees just outside of Fairbanks and I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with it. This will be just the thing.

P.S. It’s -38F today. Could you send some Florida to me for Christmas?
